Tl dr Great idea, email the devs, don't surprised if this gets trashed next update. I wouldn't be at all shocked if the next 3 updates completely trash this mod. Though, something I need to add is that the way that cannibals are handling things atm might be just a test run just essentially to make sure that the cannibals even /work/.

Worst comes to worst, they say no and this ends up being something like DSFix. Not only does it save them time, but it balances things out and makes the game more playable for everyone else.
The forest mods for alpha mod#
IMHO, email the devs and ask them the put your mod in the final release, or at least tweak it to their likings. Your mod makes perfect sense when you've played the game. Originally posted by dark-hello2:What saddens me is that the community is adressing the fixes faster than the devs. What else do people REALLY want in a mod? Please keep in mind that some of the features of the mod previously were so complicated I am not going to bother with those again (like all the graphical modification keys, and the changes to the phone)Īlso, currently there is no marking on the menu to tell you the mod is installed. tell me if things are still working as expected. Possible to get more Vags and Armsy above ground at any timeĬreative mode (currently always on, and currently doesn't remove the required items from the hud) Less Mutants on the first few days, many more after a week Standard Combat more varied and more likely to break offĭefensive Combat more likely to break off, more likely to attack from flanksĭaytime Searching further, and remember player longerĭaytime Stalking from further away, more likely to use treesĭefault Stalking from further away, more likely to back off and to use trees Unzip into The Forest folder, it will replace 1 file (to revert your game, use Steams Local Verification) The biomes have been tweaked so they don't take too much space in the world map, and you might have to generate a planet again if some biome is not appearing, since they have different temperature and humidity characteristics. So I have decided to try my hand at modding The Forest again! I get soo many requests every single day I just can't take it anymore LOLīecause Im not really playing the game much at the moment, and the game has changes SO MUCH code-wise since I last modded, I need people to try things out for me Fire and lava are both your worst enemy and your best friend in this biome. The Pyroclastic Conflagration: a volcanic expanse of unrelenting and brutal nature. The Tar Pits: an arid biome rich in vegetation, filled with treacherous tar pits that make movement quite difficult. Inspired by (and compatible with) the Forsakens mod. The Forsaken Crags: permanently clouded by a preternatural darkness, light is the most valuable commodity in this desertic landscape. The Propane Lakes: a frozen wasteland, colder than the most inhospitable Sea Ice, but teeming with aberrant flora and fauna. Almost no food or cultivation in this biome. Apparently an ancient mechanoid attempt at turning the planet into a megastructure. The Mechanoid Intrusion: a desolate temperate biome with mechanical ruins. No rocks to be found, but plenty of food. The Gelatinous Superorganism: a swampy biome that is actually the upper surface of an extraordinarily large mold-like creature. The Ocular Forest: a weird transdimensional realm intruding upon our Universe. The Feralisk Infested Jungle: a warm, wet biome with incredibly dense vegetation, filled to the brink with extremely dangerous predatory spiders. The Gallatross Graveyard: an arid temperate biome, littered with the skeletal remains of ancient beasts. Home to the Wildpod and some weird mushroom varieties of usual creatures. The Mycotic Jungle: a warm and humid biome filled with HUGE mushrooms. The mod has been designed with the Alpha Animals mod in mind, although it is not a requirement. Adds 10 new diverse biomes to your Rimworlds.
